Why it helps
Push-ups train your chest, shoulders and arms. Doing them against a wall lets you practise good form with very little strain.
How to do it
- Stand an arm's length from a wall, hands on it at shoulder height.
- Bend your elbows and bring your chest toward the wall, body straight.
- Push back to the start. Repeat ten times.
Make it easier
Stand closer to the wall and do five.
Make it harder
Move your feet further back or use a sturdy table edge instead.
Stop if you feel sharp pain in your shoulders or wrists.
