Why it helps
Many of us push our heads forward when using a phone or computer. Chin tucks are a small, gentle way to remind your neck of a more neutral position.
How to do it
- Sit or stand tall and look straight ahead.
- Slide your chin straight back as if making a double chin, without tilting down.
- Hold for three seconds, release, and repeat eight times.
Make it easier
Do four tucks and hold for just a second.
Make it harder
Hold each tuck for ten seconds, five times.
Stop if you feel pain or tingling in your arms.
