Descale your kettle

Remove limescale from the inside of the kettle.

Why it helps

Limescale can affect taste and slow heating. Descaling is simple and uses basic items.

How to do it

1. Fill the kettle halfway with equal parts water and white vinegar.
2. Boil it and leave it for 20 minutes.
3. Empty and rinse a few times.

Just check for limescale.

Make it harder

Also clean the outside and the base.

Make sure the kettle has cooled enough and is unplugged before you handle it.
