Why it helps
Tight calves are common after standing or walking a lot. A short stretch keeps your ankles moving freely.
How to do it
- Stand facing a wall, hands on it.
- Step one foot back, heel down, leg straight.
- Lean in until you feel a stretch and hold 30 seconds, then switch.
Make it easier
Hold for 15 seconds.
Make it harder
Bend the back knee slightly to reach a deeper calf muscle.
Stretch gently and stop if you feel pain.
